Pat, great story. Question, do you think having a carnet made getting your bike in and out of countries easier/faster than the usual filling out documents at each border for entering and leaving?
For some countries, a carnet is mandatory, so you won’t get it without it. I did use my carnet at a few countries that don’t require one, and it felt like that helped speed the process up a bit (maybe they let you use that official form instead of the multiple forms you’d have to otherwise)
